Hi,
I am using a Sky+ HD box outside the UK and it is working fine. My question is can I safely use the On Demand service by connecting the box to the internet via a VPN to the UK?
Sure, as long as it is connected via a VPN, there should be no problems, but if the VPN fails, the box will see a non-UK IP-address. Therefore my question is would such a failure result in my Sky card being discontinued or does Sky not care which IP address the unit is connected to?
I know that if a non-UK IP-address is used, the on demand service will not work, that is not the question. It is simply does the Sky box report back the IP-address used in any way.
I know this is a somewhat unusual question, but perhaps one of you experts can let me know what the situation is.
Thanks
