Hi There
I'm another user attempting to get my new router working alongside a recently purchased Synology NAS drive (214se)
Thanks to Scubbie's (and others) articles, I've set up relevant services and firewall exceptions, however I'm still unable to access externally or make use of Synology DSM's Cloud-based backup and syncronisation.
I can access photos etc etc whist at home via Wi-Fi but not via 3G
Synology's new software application actually allows you to use a 'quick connect ID' to pair the NAS/router/other devices that apparently does away with the need to set up port forwarding, but this is a new feature and again, I'm unable to get the ID in the first place...
Screen-shots of the current set up attached - the IP switch, service, firewall exemptions and NAS network detail.
NB in Scubbie's tutorial, the example IP is moved from 168.192.0.200 as the fixed IP but then in other screenshots it is 168.192.0.250. Am I missing something here (probably!)
So I need to do anything with DMZ or set up a Dynamic DNS login to get over the line? Annoying that Sky only allow for DynDNS which is no longer free...
Am sure that I'm missing something utterly simple, so apologies in advance if the solution is blindingly simple... I'm trying to avoid paying for help at this stage to put me out my misery :)
