Hi,
We have just hooked up with sky and received an SR102 ADSL router (as seen here - http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-r...-firmware.html), and I wanted to be able to use an Aruba Remote Access Point (RAP), that utilises IPSec as it VPN tunneling protocol. Unfortunately this does not work in this setup. We have previously tested this device with two separate installation with different router/broadband providers and experienced no issues. I'm guessing that the router is unable to pass Protocol 50/51 (a requirement of IPSec, along with an open UDP port 500), even though we have tried setting up forwarding for ALL TCP/UDP ports, specifically for the IPSec VPN service, and even put the RAP into a DMZ with no luck.
There are a couple of point to note. Literally this has only been on line for 1 day, but the firmware seems a little old - 2.1m.3173.R. Where as the link above show the current firmware to be at either 2.1q.3595.r (Jan 2014), or 2.1r.3727.r (Jun 2014). I wonder if any one has used this router for this application, and if so where you successful and what firmware where3 you on.
Is it possible to get hold of the latest firmware or get Sky to upgrade this?
So, the thought then turn to junking the router and putting in something that is actually semi decent and will handle this application, and of course this means extracting the password. Whilst I have read over http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-r...ord-sr102.html and http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/extra...hub-sr101.html, I am unsure if this will work as the I would think that the procedure would require sniffing the routers DHCP request on the WAN side, and this router has an ADSL port, hence I can only connect via Ethernet to the LAN side.
Comments an Suggestions welcome
