Well not long now and I should be enjoying Fibre speeds. My appointment is in the morning between 8am and 1pm. Looking forward to getting faster speeds, but I am a little apprehensive as according to the estimate speed I will get 28.9 Down and 5 up, but my friend who lives literally 3 doors away and only 10 metres from me on the same cabinet, had fibre installed with BT last week and though they told him he will only get 26.8 down and 5 up, when they set it up he is getting 35/5 speeds, which is more than they estimated.
Now I am wondering if I will get the same speed or am I going to be given only what sky and BT speed checker estimates which is 28.9/5??? Is it common to have an estimate of lower speeds and then get higher speeds when installed or not with sky?? As I assume the equipment in the cabinets and exchange for fibre is all belonging to BT and then sky, plusnet, etc will just rent from them.
