Multiroom Record a prog on main box watch another room?

Hi,
Please forgive our lack of understanding (probably an age thing :) We currently have a main HD box with RF out supplying Sky to three other rooms so that we can record a programme on the main box but watch it anywhere.
The disadvantage is the mass of cabling all over the outside wall.

We are due to move house soon and wondered about how Multiroom works - can we record a programme on the main box but still watch it in different rooms? Or does each room have its own box with completely separate and different recordings?
