I apologise for asking an obvious question but going through the many posts I was getting confused. If anyone can point me at the relevant thread I will go there...
Basically I want to use another router/modem and I know I need the ID and password that is embedded in my SR101. So any help appreciated.
I currently have a Billion Bipac 7300n which I think I can plug into the Sky hub and use it just as a router for LAN and WIFi ? I am not on fibre but standard broadband
If not I'm happy to buy a another high quality one to get a better WiFi signal than I'm getting from the Sky hub.
I am on an iMac but have access to a Windows 8 laptop

Not sure where my follow up went but I think i have done this right with Wireshark as i got this
|LCHEd@yDCPIC_a|LCHcSc5=xxxxxxx24348@skydsl|xxxxxx xx<%1.15m.3734.R|001|SR101|A000128B0209367+
So am I right in that
xxxxxxx24348@skydsl
IS my router name
xxxxxxxx
Is the password
Is there no .com after the @skydsl ?
Got my eye on an Asus 68u
