No power socket anywhere near to my master socket ?

Just ordered Fibre Unlimited Pro today (to take over from standard broadband package I have with TalkTalk)

When I asked about the date of engineer visit - I was told that there is no need for an enginner as the hub will include everything to use existing connection.

I was suprised by this - as all other suppliers I shopped around with (including current TALK TALK provider) said engineer would need to come in to my house and prepare my line and upgrade my master socket.

But I was fine with this, as my master socket is nowhere near a power point, and the engineer could have moved the master socket to a more convenient place to be near power. My master socket is also tucked way back in an under the stairs cupboard (Harry Potter bedroom style) so not the most ideal place to have a wireless router/hub.

But with SKY I just get sent the hub apparently. So what is best way to prepare - will I have to pay pay SKY or BT to move my master socket to somewhere more convenient in the house ?? - or worse pay for an electrcian to install a new powerpoint near to where the master socket currently is (which would be awkward cuz of its location) ??

My master socket is also not pre-filtered and is an old faceplate - so I will have to use a microfilter- will this degrade the speed/service?
