Help for a technophobe

Hi, this is my first post on here and has probably been answered before, but I can't seem to find it.

I am a Sky Broadband unlimited customer and have the small silver Sagemcom wireless hub. I have no idea of its model type etc.

I have just become the proud owner of a Netgear Nighthawk X4 AC2350 Router, now I know enough to know that this is a router and to make it work I need a modem. I have got into the hubs homepage and feel fairly confident changing settings in there, but would need very simple instructions as in 'find the line that says 145.267.276.01 and change it to .....etc' not change the 'WPN VCN to .....'

So my questions are,
can the sky hub be configured to act as just a modem with the Nighthawk doing the wireless bit?
If yes to the above, how do I do it? (in simple terms please, preferably with pictures or screenshots)
Where do I send the thank you bottle of whiskey etc?

I know that my download speeds will not go through the roof but I want to use some of the internal features such as NAS etc.
