It seems that the 'big boys' in the USA are playing dirty and pushing for TorrentFreak to be closed, despite the fact that they have apparently not broken any laws, but rather posted something which Comcast would rather the public not know about.
Recently TorrentFreak posted a copy of a subpoena which Comcast had been served and had responded to. Since the said subpoena is a court document and available for public inspection and can be reproduced without further consent when the story is news worthy, there was nothing wrong with this.
Well Comcast contacted their 'brand protection company', Cyveilance, who wrote to both TorrentFreak and the company which hosts their website.
Having found out what it was that was wrong, as this wasn't clear from the original correspondence, TorrentFreak later got notification from their hosting service.
Should such large companies be allowed to bully people into not publishing the truth?
